Bell Ringer: In your writer's notebook, please complete the following: (Remember to set it up as a type 1) - you need to write 5 lines in 3 minutes.
1. What do you know about capitalization. List as many rules, examples, etc. as you can.
2. Tell me what you know about a topic sentence and about focus.
Periods 1 and 2 started "Apollo and Artemis", Period 5 is still working on "Athena: The Wise Goddess"
Homework: Select 2 of the 4 mythology characters (from Investigation chart) as the two you want to investigate further. For each of these two, write three questions that you can try and find answers to in the next step. The questions should help you get at the characters trait. Maybe questions about why they are they way they are?, What is the fallout or consequences because of who they are or what they have done?, Maybe questions about their motivations - why they do what they do?, or even questions related to conflicts and the consequences or outcomes of those conflicts. Other possible questions: Who is his/her allies? enemies? What is he situation they are in and who caused them to be in this situation? Due for Friday.
The attached document (above) contains the inference practices (1 and 2) we went over in class. I will post answers tomorrow.
